About Heather Cox
Heather Cox is a screenwriter, story producer, and developer based in Los Angeles. Her work has been seen on the popular FX anthology series American Horror Story: 1984, on Apple TV + in Billie Eilish: The World's a Little Blurry, Disney + Happier Than Ever: A Love Letter to Los Angeles, on BBC2’s Pure Skin, Amazon’s original 10-part documentary The Third Path: Iran From Empire to Ruin to Empire, HBO’s The Janes, Pod Save America, Welcome to Chechnya, To Heir Is Human and the upcoming The Crying of Lot 49.
Cox also has extensive reality television experience and has worked on programs such as Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Hell’s Kitchen, and America’s Got Talent.
In addition to original screenwriting and literary adaptations, Cox is also the author of the novel California King.
Heather Cox has also served as an adjunct professor for the Los Angeles Community College system, where she taught and designed curriculum, and assisted with grants for various film and media-related courses at Los Angeles Valley College.
Other miscellaneous writing includes the prestigious long-form advert for Mercedes-Benz CLA Coupé: Play By Your Rules and UK Experian’s Goths ad, both in 2019.
In addition to her current projects, Heather Cox has segued her experience into K-Media and Entertainment and is producing several documentaries. She was also most recently selected as the 2024 Jeollanamdo Global Tourism Social Media attaché.
