French photographer inspired by wide open spaces and passionate about Americans depicting them (such as Jim Harrison, Thomas McGuane, Rick Bass or Larry Brown), MrRoudoudou finds on the French West Coast these lands of calm and freezes the ephemeral nature of tracks to create a timeless atmosphere.

This work on temporary surfaces, especially on sand, emphasizes the special light that sculpts this mineral. It is inspired by painters such as Soulages, and can be reflected in the work of American photographer Michael Light.

MrRoudoudou’s work is lithe and orderly, and his eye for colour and composition are easily legible in the images. He has a keen sensitivity to symmetry and borders, drawing viewers into the shapely landscapes that curve and arch.

He can also take the eye under the surface, under the shadows themselves.

MrRoudoudou says that the soundtrack to his work would be The Avalanches, Jamie xx, Maurice Ravel, and Georges Delerue. For more information, or to purchase works or for commission inquiries, please contact MrRoudoudou on Twitter.
